The designers of the Apexi power intake system found that when air is pushed or pulled through an air intake cleaner it tends to compress itself along the sides of the unit. To take advantage of this characteristic they incorporated a duel funnel system where a center funnel effectively helps channel the air away from the center where it doesn’t want to flow anyway, the result was increased air intake performance which means more horsepower.
