- Project Mu Co Ltd., based in Japan, manufactures several different types of Project Mu Caliper Kits capable of extreme braking power. Designed for serious street and racing use the Project Mu brake caliper lineup includes 2 piston, 4 piston and 6 piston models with 2 or 4 pads and are also available in slim and mini varieties. They are designed to work on newer import performance cars such as the Nissan 350Z, Lexus IS350 and Honda Civic but if you’re heavily into muscle cars you know that there is no 60’s or 70’s equivalent to today’s technology and making custom modifications on a hot rod is fun.
The bad boy of the Project Mu Caliper kit lineup is the 6 piston Racing caliper set made of aluminum alloy with a hard alumite heat resistant clear coating or optional powder coating. It is designed to work on rotors between 355mm×32mm and 380mm×32mm in size using two pads and a 41/30/25mm piston diameter and comes complete with Teflon brake line and matching bolts. Love it or hate it the color is distinctive. Project Mu.
