Vertical Door Kits
September 30, 2009Vertical door kits have the power to set your muscle car apart. While traditionally found on a Lambo or tuner car I’m seeing more of them on traditional muscle cars, and I like the idea more each time I see it.

Vertical door conversion kits add a hot new look to a muscle car without cutting, welding or drilling the frame, which makes them completely reversible too. A set of gas charged shocks make the vertical doors near weightless to open and are a snap to replace.

From a vehicle safety perspective the stock locking mechanisms remain untouched so when the door is closed it will remain closed even in an accident. Older vertical door kits sometimes required modifying the door latch but in true back to the future style new car kits are much easier to install. With the right tools and proper kit the change can be made in under 30 minutes on most vehicles, provided you have help.
